A woman in Queensland, Australia was bitten by a red-bellied venomous snake in her garden. Her cat came out to "support" and killed the poisonous snake.
According to AXP, Denise Thynne, 66, lives in western Mackay, Queensland. On Monday, she was accidentally bitten by a snake while watering the garden.
Sion went to the garden to water the roses, and she didn't notice a small snake under the pipe. "I didn't notice that the little snake was hiding under the pipe until I felt a sting."
Sion's cat came out, "It came out to catch the snake, it looked fascinating, and then it killed the snake." Sion said she saw the snake's belly red and realized that the snake might be poisonous.
Luckily, the snake did not spit out venom when it attacked Sion.
Sion had been bitten by a snake three times, and she knew what to do, so she bandaged herself and called an ambulance.
Sion warns people to be more careful when encountering snakes.
She was taken to Mackay Regional Hospital and was discharged Tuesday.
