Have you ever hit your dog? Or see someone hitting a dog? Have you noticed that most dogs will not resist? They will only bow their heads, hang their ears, wag their tails, and make whimpering sounds. You may think that this is their obedience or patience. But in fact, this is their fear and despair.

Dogs are the most loyal friends of human beings. They have lived with humans for tens of thousands of years. They can understand human emotions and intentions. They can also express their feelings and needs. They communicate with eyes, voice, body language and behavior.

When you hit a dog, you may think it is a punishment or education. You might want to let it know what it did wrong, or let it stop doing it later. But, do you know? For dogs, this is violence and threat. It will feel that you don't love it, don't trust it, don't respect it. It will feel like you are a dangerous person, an enemy.

When you hit a dog, why doesn’t the dog resist? This is because they have an instinctive reaction called compliance inhibition. This is an act of obedience and surrender that animals show to protect themselves when facing powerful hostile forces. This behavior can reduce the aggression of hostile forces and increase your chances of survival.

Subordination of compliance is a stress response that can lead to an increase in the animal's heart rate, blood pressure, adrenaline and other physiological indicators. This reaction puts the animal in a state of high tension and fear. If this state lasts too long or is too frequent, it will cause serious damage to the physical and mental health of the animals.

Beating dogs will cause them to suppress compliance, which will make them timid, nervous, anxious, depressed, and even self-harm. Beating dogs can also cause them to lose trust and closeness to humans, making them withdrawn, aggressive, and even dangerous.

So, please don't hit your dog. Please don't be indifferent when you see others hitting dogs. Please treat your dog with love and patience. Please use scientific and reasonable methods to educate your dog. Please communicate with your dog with respect and understanding.

Because, your dog is a living body with emotions, thoughts and personality. It requires your care, protection and company. It is willing to do anything for you. It just wants to get your recognition and praise.
