Carragher told Monday Night Football: "Salah and Connate's start in the new season is really bad."

When analyzing Newcastle's equalizer goal, Carragher commented: "Connate completely lost his position."

"I hope my central defender can clear that ball decisively. But he was more focused on pulling the opponent's arm at the time."

"He was not in the game at all. I couldn't imagine what the situation would have been without Van Dijk, the defensive core who always performed well, Liverpool's defense line."
