Sky Sports reported that Brentford midfielder Yanette has not yet renewed his contract. He is increasingly likely to leave the team in 2026. For this reason, the club is looking for a new midfield core.

The 27-year-old Yanette's current contract will expire at the end of this season, but he has not yet reached an agreement on new terms with the Bees. Brentford are actively looking at potential long-term replacements amid uncertainty over Yanette's future, while players can enter contract negotiations with overseas clubs from January.

Brentford hopes to sign a defensive midfielder who can serve as the core of the long-term team. In the current lineup, Jordan Henderson is in the late stages of his career, Matthias Jensen is also approaching the expiration of his contract, and Frank Onyeka has failed to become the main first-line team.

Jensen will turn 30 on January 1. Although his current contract expires in June 2026, it includes an option to renew until 2027.
