According to the "Team News", Aston Villa will sign Brest's 34-year-old goalkeeper Bizot.

Although Leeds United, Saudi club and a French Ligue 1 team in northern France are all interested in introducing it, Bizot eventually chose Aston Villa. Villa has started negotiations with Brest this week and plans to send a special plane to Brest Airport to pick up the 34-year-old goalkeeper this week at 16:00 pm local time this Sunday. The specific terms of the contract are still to be finalized.

Bitzot and Brest have one year left in the current contract, and the transfer fee is unknown. It is reported that Villa will position him as a substitute goalkeeper, but may not be directly a substitute for Martin, because the World Cup champion Argentina's goalkeeper may also leave the team this summer.

Brest had expected Zot to leave the team. The veteran expressed his willingness to leave the team last summer window, and the club has been looking for a replacement since January. Home fans held a farewell ceremony for him in the final season (2-0 victory over Lille on May 10). Bizot won the hearts of Brest's fans and ranked third in the team in sales.

Since joining in 2021, Bizot has played 148 games for Brest, conceded 213 goals and completed 40 clean sheets. He is the core contributor to Brest's historic advancement to the Champions League. Although the performance was not perfect last season, he contributed his top performance in the UEFA Europa League (1-0) against Eindhoven on December 10 last year.
