According to The Sun, one night two months ago, a Premier League star worth 60 million pounds (the Sun did not reveal the name of the star) was threatened with a gun in the street. After calling the police, the threatmaker was caught, and the threatr turned out to be an agent in the industry.

The Sun reported that the star was targeted while walking with friends on a busy street in London, and the police received a call at 11:14 pm local time on September 6.

A 31-year-old agent, whose star players include an England international, was arrested last month on suspicion of brandishing a gun with intent to intimidate others.

The suspect is also being investigated for alleged extortion and threatening the player's friends, but he has not been charged with any crime.

The star and his friend, who cannot be named for legal reasons, escaped unharmed and police raided the attacker's house two days later and arrested him.

On September 9, the agent was released on bail on the condition that he would not have further contact with the stars he had threatened.

A source said: "The player is understandably frightened - it is shocking to have someone threaten you with a gun. His friends and the club are supporting him and hope it will not affect his performance. But there will be questions about the cause of the incident and the police are currently working hard to answer these questions."

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that it is investigating the matter.
