talkSPORT reports that the consortium that wants to acquire Manchester United comes from the United Arab Emirates, and the Glazer family still values Manchester United at more than 5 billion pounds.

Boxing promoter and Saudi tycoon Turki Aralshik's social media comments have sent Manchester United fans into a frenzy, claiming that the club is about to change ownership. He wrote: "The best news I heard today is that Manchester United is currently in the advanced stages of completing a sale to new investors, and I hope he can do a better job than the previous owner."

Sources within Manchester United are not aware of these claims, but any interested parties can negotiate directly with the Glazer family.

The group Aralchik is referring to is believed to be headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, and talkSPORT has learned that several Manchester United legends have been approached to discuss potential investments.

The Glazer family has sold a minority stake to Sir Ratcliffe's Ineos Group, but there is a clause in the deal that means that if the Glazer family accepts an offer from another bidder, Ratcliffe will either be forced to sell his shares or have to match an equal offer. The so-called drag-out clause came into effect in August.

Despite Manchester United's poor record and failure to qualify for the Champions League, the Glazer family still insists on the club's valuation, partly due to the new stadium plan promoted by Ratcliffe. They also believe United's value will continue to grow regardless of on-field results.

Aralchik himself has been seeking to invest in English football clubs, but he emphasized that he was not involved in the competition to acquire Manchester United.

Former Crystal Palace boss and talkSPORT host Simon Jordan revealed in September that Alarcic was interested in acquiring Bristol City. Other clubs believed to be interested include Southampton, Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday.
