Independent: Crystal Palace insists on asking Guy for 45 million pounds, 10 million more than Liverpool s bid
The Independent reported that Crystal Palace insisted on asking for £45 million for its central defender Gee.
Liverpool's current offer has not reached Crystal Palace's £45 million asking price. If Guy joins Liverpool, Crystal Palace is considering introducing Rennes' young defender Yakut's seat replacement. Given that Guy's contract expires next year, Crystal Palace is willing to sell him this summer, but they have recently had a £10m gap with Liverpool in player valuation. Liverpool sticks to a £35 million offer, while Crystal Palace sticks to a £45 million.
This number is particularly important because Renne's asking price for Jaquet is £35 million. Jaquet, 20, was one of the best team members of the U19 European Championship last summer, in which France reached the final. Last season, he also performed well during his loan period to Clermont.
