Mirror: Mourinho has communicated with Son Heung-min and intends to reunite with him at Fenerbahce
The Daily Mirror reported that Mourinho had exchanges with Son Heung-min and intended to reunite with the latter in Türkiye.
It is reported that Son Heung-min may leave Tottenham this summer and switch to Fenerbahce, and former Tottenham coach Mourinho is seeking to reunite with the South Korean star. Mourinho's coached Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Premier League last season. They are currently seeking reinforcement, with the goal of advancing to the Champions League stage through the qualifying round. One of Fenerbahce's signing targets includes Son Heung-min, who triggered the team captain's renewal clause in January this year, but his new contract only lasts until the summer of 2026, and it is still possible that Tottenham will sell it with a suitable offer.
Previously, there was news that the Saudi professional league was interested in Son Heung-min, but he had previously refused a high-paying offer. Currently, Turkish media reports say that Mourinho is ready to provide another way out for Son Heung-min.
If Fenerbahce wants to sign Son Heung-min, it is expected to pay a transfer fee of about £25 million. It is reported that the player himself is open to this transfer.
