Keppel signs cooperation agreement with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to promote investment opportunities of 1.9 billion yuan in sustainable infrastructure

Keppel issued a statement on Wednesday (June 25) to announce the above news. The cooperation will explore projects in areas such as power transmission and distribution, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, transportation and urban services, and will provide financial support for infrastructure projects developed by Keppel and invested by the company's private equity funds, promoting green infrastructure, connectivity, and technology-driven infrastructure development.
Keppel Co., Ltd. closed at 7.4 yuan on Wednesday, with no change.
The first cooperation cycle is five years and ends in December 2030, and is expected to cover developing economies in the Asia-Pacific region. This cooperation will also serve as a strategic platform to promote knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices, while deepening the existing cooperative relationship and communication channels between the two parties. Keppel Fund Management pointed out that although investment in green infrastructure and connectivity has continued to increase in recent years, the infrastructure gap is still very significant in the Asia-Pacific region due to rapid population growth and intensified urbanization. By combining the financial strength of the AIIB with Keppel's successful experience in developing, operating and managing large infrastructure, this cooperation will help accelerate the transformation of the Asia-Pacific region to a more sustainable future.
Keppel signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) through its fund management and investment platform to promote sustainable infrastructure investment and financing opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region totaling up to US$1.5 billion (S$1.92 billion) in total.
