Lin Mingyan responded that he had stepped down as SBF chairman early: he should focus on his position in Changi Airport Group

The Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce (SBF) announced on Tuesday evening that Lin Mingyan stepped down early and was replaced by former chairman Zhang Songsheng, which will take effect from now on, attracting market attention.
Lin Mingyan just served as chairman of Changi Airport Group seven weeks ago. He revealed that when accepting this appointment, he had already expressed that he had difficulty taking into account both the Changi Airport Group and the Federation of Industry and Commerce. Therefore, he decided to step down as chairman of the latter and let the Federation of Industry and Commerce elect a successor to the chairman.
Lin Mingyangang was once again the chairman of the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce and Industry Federation in June last year. Previously, he had served as chairman for five years. Zhang Songsheng, who took over, served as the chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce from 2014 to 2020.
Lin Mingyan, who announced on Tuesday (May 20), announced that he would step down as chairman of the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce and Industry Federation, said that after he became the chairman of Changi Airport Group, he would need to invest more time in this.
On the other hand, Lin Mingyan is also a member of the Singapore Economic Resilience Group as the chairman of the Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Lin Mingyan said in an interview with Lianhe Zaobao: "I have stepped down from the position of the Federation of Industry and Commerce because I have to invest more time in Changi Airport Group (CAG). The development of the Fifth Passenger Building (T5) has begun. Faced with fierce competition in the field of aviation hubs, Changi Airport must continue to improve its competitiveness."
