The correct way to wash artificial fur, imitation leather and artificial leather
Artificial fur and imitation animal skin are both acrylic fabrics. When washing, first soak in cold water for 3-5 minutes, then squeeze the water dry and put it in a high-quality washing liquid at 30-40℃, gently rub it by hand, then place it on the washing board, and use a brush to clean the inside of the clothes. If the dirty areas are dipped in some detergent, you can brush it, and then put it in the detergent solution and wash it. After washing for a few times, squeeze out the detergent liquid from the clothes with both hands and rinse it. The rinsing can be washed twice with warm water at 40℃ and once with cold water. Each time you rinse, you must be wiped dry first. After rinsing, shake the clothes flat and dry them, shake your hands after drying, and tidy up the fur with a comb.
Artificial leather, including suede, is processed from polyvinyl chloride as raw material. It will harden when it is hot and cold immediately. It will age over a long time and cannot withstand greater mechanical forces. Therefore, it cannot be washed by machine, and cannot be rubbed or kneaded. Only use a soft brown brush to dip it in a high-quality detergent and gently brush it. When pouring water, you should use the method of lifting up and down. Do not twist it hard to avoid wrinkles. The washing temperature should be 30℃. Use cold water to rinse several times. After rinsing, use a clothes rack to hang in a ventilated place. After drying suede clothing, you can use a soft brown brush to make the suede not fall over and have a plump appearance. Some friends are very diligent and always wash their clothes after soaking them. In fact, this approach is unscientific. Generally speaking, it is best to soak clothes in cold water for a while before washing them. This has several benefits:
1. It can remove dust and sweat from the surface of the clothing and enter the water, which can not only improve the washing quality of the clothing, but also save detergent. The penetration of water can be utilized to fully expand before the fabric enters the washing liquid, so that the dirt in the cloth eyes is squeezed and floats on the surface, making it easy to remove.
2. Some colored fabrics with poor washing fastness are prone to decolorization. Pre-soaking can detect these problems in a timely manner, making it easier to take preventive measures during the washing process. The amount of water used to soak the clothing material should be sufficient, and the soaking time should be determined based on the type of clothing, material, new and old, dirty and clean, and dyeing fastness. Generally speaking, down jackets are 5-10 minutes, synthetic fiber clothing is 15 minutes, worsted wool clothing is 15-20 minutes, coarse wool clothing is 20-30 minutes, and blankets and sweaters are 20 minutes.
